Terms of use

These terms govern your use of Overbid (https://www.overbid.tools). By browsing, submitting a listing, voting, claiming a tool, or buying a slot, you agree to them. If you do not agree, do not use the site.

1. What Overbid is

Overbid is a public directory and ranking of digital tools. Rankings combine community votes, tracked outbound clicks, organic velocity, and paid advertising products (Featured, Top 3, Boost, Outbid). Rankings are not an independent lab test, a security audit, or an endorsement of any vendor.

2. Listings

  • You must submit accurate information about a real product you are allowed to list.
  • New listings are pending until we approve them. We may refuse, edit, or remove a listing at any time, including after it is live.
  • Duplicates, spam, malware, impersonation, or “coming soon” vaporware may be rejected.
  • Claiming a listing does not transfer intellectual property. You grant us a license to display the name, logo, tagline, and description on Overbid and in embeds/share cards.

3. Accounts and claims

Login is by email (magic link). You are responsible for the inbox you use. Domain-matched emails and original submitters may get an automatic claim; other claims wait for review. We can revoke a claim if the match was wrong or abusive.

4. Votes and clicks

Votes and Visit clicks are limited per hashed IP to reduce spam. Automation, VPNs used to stuff votes, or instructing others to fraudulently inflate a score may get the listing removed and the account blocked.

5. Advertising products

Featured, Top 3, Boost, and Outbid are digital advertising. They change visibility on the ranking and are marked with badges. They do not guarantee traffic, leads, conversions, a permanent position, or inclusion in “This week” / “Rising today” (those windows exclude paid bonuses). Boosted this week is a labeled paid strip.

  • Featured Badge: $49 USD for 30 days.
  • Featured Lifetime: $299 USD, until we discontinue the product or remove the listing.
  • Top 3 Guaranteed: $149 USD for 30 days, global or category.
  • Boost: from $5 USD, any amount, for 7 days. Overall score from Boost is capped at +25. Paying more still cannot buy #1.
  • Outbid: at least $10 USD, then $1 above the current winning bid. A later higher bid replaces you. You are not refunded when that happens.

Prices are shown in USD. Mercado Pago charges an ARS amount using a conversion rate we set. Payment processors may add their own fees.

6. Payments

International charges go through PayPal. Argentina may use Mercado Pago. Card and account data are handled by those providers, not stored as full card numbers on Overbid. You authorize us to activate the matching slot after a successful capture or webhook.

7. Acceptable use

You may not use Overbid to:

  • scrape at a rate that harms the service;
  • post illegal content, malware, or phishing;
  • misrepresent ownership of a tool;
  • circumvent vote, click, or anti-spam limits.

8. No warranty

The site is provided “as is.” Rankings can change at any time (new votes, new bids, weight changes, outages). We do not warrant uninterrupted uptime or that a paid slot will produce any business result.

9. Liability

To the extent allowed by law, Overbid and its operator are not liable for lost profits, lost data, or indirect damages arising from use of the directory or from a ranking position. Our total liability related to a paid slot is limited to the amount you paid for that slot in the previous 30 days.

10. Changes

We may update these terms. Continued use after a change means you accept the new version. The date at the top of this page is the latest revision.
