What is Overbid?

Overbid is a public ranking of AI and digital tools — an AI tools directory whose positions move. The homepage targets Best AI Tools 2026, with separate category rankings for SEO, no-code, developers, design, marketing, productivity, finance, and more.

How is the ranking calculated?

Overall (the default) is all-time: votes, tracked clicks, Featured, Top 3, Boost (capped at +25), Outbid, plus a capped 7-day velocity boost (growth vs the previous week). This week ranks unique votes and visits from the last 7 days, without paid bonuses. Rising today shows the 3–5 tools with the biggest unique-activity lift in the last 24 hours versus the day before. Boosted this week is a labeled paid strip.

How is this different from other AI tool directories?

Most directories emphasize search, categories, and new listings. Overbid publishes the ranking inputs: votes, tracked Visit clicks, 7-day growth, labeled Featured/Top 3/Boost, and the live #1 bid. See /ranking for the formula and bid board, and /directory for the directory landing page.

Are paid slots part of the score?

Yes, on Overall only, and they are labeled. Featured and Top 3 add score; Boost adds up to 25 points from the amount paid; Outbid can put a tool in #1 / #2 / #3 while the bid holds. This week and Rising today do not add paid bonuses. We do not hide that ads exist.

Can I list my tool for free?

Yes. Use Submit. New listings start as pending and appear in the ranking after approval. We may edit or reject spam, duplicates, or listings that are not a real product.

How do I claim a listing?

Open Claim your listing and sign in with a work email. A verified email matching the website domain enables immediate approval. Other requests need manual review. Being the original submitter does not prove ownership. Owners can edit tagline, description, and logo from the dashboard.

How does the free badge Boost work?

After claiming an approved listing, publish its badge on your product website and submit the public HTTPS page from the dashboard. Manual approval activates 5 Boost points for 7 days, once per product. No card, charge or automatic renewal. If a paid Boost overlaps, the higher benefit applies instead of adding the two. There is no guaranteed ranking, discovery-strip placement, traffic or sales. The badge shows Overall rank, including paid and promotional bonuses. Admins can request corrections or revoke the benefit with a reason visible in the dashboard.

What is Featured and Outbid?

Featured is a paid badge ($49 / 30 days, or $299 lifetime). Top 3 locks a guaranteed ranking slot for 30 days ($149), global or by category. Boost is pay-what-you-want from $5 for 7 days (capped +25 on Overall, plus the Boosted this week strip). Outbid lets a company take #1 by paying more than the current bid (minimum $10). These are ads, disclosed as badges. They do not guarantee traffic or a permanent position.

Which payment methods do you accept?

PayPal for international buyers (USD) and Mercado Pago for Argentina (ARS, converted with a published rate). Without payment keys configured, checkout stays in demo mode and does not charge a real card.

Can I get a refund?

Once the ranking updates after a successful payment, Featured, Top 3, Boost, and Outbid are not refundable. If you are outbid later, the previous bid is not returned. If a webhook failed and the slot never activated, email support@overbid.tools — see the Refunds page.

How do I contact Overbid?

How do votes and clicks work?

You get one vote per tool per hashed IP. Outbound Visit clicks are tracked the same way, with a short cooldown so refresh spam does not inflate the score. Search-engine bots are ignored.

Can I share or embed a ranking?

Yes. Each tool page has Share on X, a copy-link button, and live embed badges in three sizes (pill, card, Ranked #N), Overall or This week status, and three themes (dark navy, light for white pages, and Foil). Foil is the holographic token for Overall/This week top 3, Featured, Boost, or Outbid. There is also a This week’s top 3 board at /embed/top/week. Pill is the compact one sites paste most. Drop a badge from /embed/[slug]?size=pill&theme=dark or add &period=week for the 7-day window.

How can AI agents read this directory?

Start at /llms.txt. Full dumps are at /llms-full.txt and /catalog.md. Structured data is at /catalog.json (CORS enabled). There is also /feed.xml and /sitemap.xml. Tool pages expose SoftwareApplication JSON-LD. Rankings, votes, and descriptions are in those files so you do not need to scrape the HTML.

Who operates Overbid?

Overbid is an independent public directory. It is not affiliated with the tools listed unless a paid badge says otherwise — and even then, a badge is advertising, not an equity or partnership claim.
