About Overbid

Overbid is a public directory and live ranking of digital tools. The homepage hook is Best AI Tools 2026, but the catalog is broader: AI, SEO and content, marketing, no-code, productivity, design, developer tools, finance, and everything else worth ranking. Unlike browse-only AI tool directories, the rank is public and moves with votes, clicks, growth, labeled Featured slots, and transparent bids. The formula and live bid board are on the ranking page. The directory landing is /directory (español).

Anyone can submit a tool. Listings start as pending and go live after review. Owners can log in, claim a listing, and edit the public profile from the dashboard.

How the ranking works

There is more than one view. None of them pretend to be a lab test or a paid review site.

  • Overall is the all-time ranking: community votes, tracked outbound clicks, paid Featured and Top 3 slots, Boost (pay-what-you-want, capped so it cannot buy #1), Outbid for #1, plus a capped 7-day velocity boost (growth versus the previous week).
  • This week ranks unique votes and visits from the last seven days, without paid bonuses.
  • Rising today highlights a handful of tools with the biggest unique activity lift in the last 24 hours versus the day before.
  • Boosted this week is a paid discovery strip. Anyone can pay from $5 for 7 days. It is labeled. Overall score from Boost is capped at +25.

Paid placements change visibility and are labeled with badges. They do not buy a permanent #1, they do not guarantee traffic, and they do not mean we endorse the product.

Paid slots (advertising)

  • Featured — a badge on the listing ($49 for 30 days, or $299 lifetime).
  • Top 3 — a guaranteed podium slot for 30 days ($149), global or by category.
  • Boost — pay what you want from $5 for 7 days. Shows on Boosted this week and adds a small capped score on Overall.
  • Outbid — pay more than the current #1 bid (minimum $10, +$1 steps) to take first place until someone else outbids you.

International buyers pay with PayPal (USD). Buyers in Argentina can use Mercado Pago (ARS). Details and exceptions: Terms and Refunds.

Share and embed

Every tool page has share links and embed badges (/embed/[slug]?size=pill&theme=dark). Sizes are pill, card, and ranked; status is Overall or This week; themes are dark (navy), light, and Foil (holographic, unlocked in top 3 or with a paid slot). Sites can also paste the live This week’s top 3 board from /embed/top/week. Pill is the compact default.

Who this is for

Visitors who want a ranking that actually moves. Teams that want a public listing. Companies that want a disclosed ad slot instead of pretending to be an “editorial winner.”
